Drawing with light

Since we are still at home preparing our super backpack for 8 months (UF I really call this a challange haha). I thought that I could write a little bit about my passion for photography. I must say that the cameras always have had me fascinated since I was a little girl. When I was small I LOVED being in front of them (I bet that all my friends from childhood are laughing right now ;-) ) Whenever I saw a camera…I was there!!

I started having interest about the other side of the camera about one year ago, Guillermo has been a great teacher, he worked for about two years at the local newspaper as a photograph. I have also learned a lot from my good friendo Alberto.

I did a course that is really great for beginners, I learned a lot there, it was every Saturday morning during 5 weeks. The teacher was a friendo of mine, Jordi and I really recommend this course to anybody who wants to begin with photography. After finishing the course I started doing photos and haven´t stopped, photography is my passion…

Todavía estamos en casa sin ninguna aventura viajera, preparando nuestra súper mochila para 8 meses (UF esto si que es un verdadero reto jaja). Pensé que podría escribir un poco sobre mi pasión por la fotografía. Tengo que admitir que desde pequeña me fascinaban las cámaras. Cuando era una niña adoraba estar delante de ellas (seguro que todos mis amigos de la infancia se están riendo de mi ;-) ) En cuanto veía una cámara…ahí estaba yo!!

Me empecé a interesar por el otro lado de la cámara hace aproximadamente un año, Guillermo ha sido un gran profesor ya que trabajó como fotógrafo durante unos años en un periódico local y también he aprendido muchísimo de mi gran amigo Alberto.

Hice un curso que es muy bueno para principiantes, aprendí muchísimo, era cada sábado durante 5 semanas. El profesor era un amigo mío, Jordi y lo recomiendo a todos los que quieran empezar con la fotografía, podéis contactar con él a través de su e-mail: jorgedime@hotmail.com.

Después de terminar el curso empecé a hacer fotos y no he parado desde entonces, he encontrado mi verdadera afición…

Surfin' the Globe

Are you ready?? Here I present you the greatest way of traveling to several countries: THE GREAT ESCAPADE; after hours of searching throw dozens of web pages we found the ONE. I will try to explain to you the best I can how this company works. Anyhow at the end of this post I will add the link of their web page where they explain it perfectly.

The three most important things are: you have 29,000 miles to use up across their  worldwide destinations, unlimited stopovers and the best thing is that you can change the dates during the trip for FREE (I love the word FREE… haha) But you must have one thing in mind and that is that you have a set fair ( in our case it was 1.200 euros) and to that price you must add the airport taxes of each destination, that means, that the more stopovers you make, higher will be the final price. Once you finalize your itinerary on their web page (with a very easy template) you call the client center, I always called Virgin Atlantic, they are so helpful and patient, it is not easy to plan a trip like this... The Great Escapade works with three big companies: Virgin Atlantic, Air New Zealand and Singapore Airlines… as you can see three good companies.

The last but not least important thing is that the duration of the trip must be at least 10 days and not longer than one year.

Estáis preparados?? Os presento la mejor forma de viajar a varios destinos: THE GREAT ESCAPADE; después de horas de búsqueda en decenas de páginas web encontramos EL NUESTRO. Os intentaré explicar lo mejor que pueda como funciona esta empresa, de todas maneras al final del post os dejaré el link de la propia página web donde explican perfectamente cómo funcionan.

Las tres cosas más importantes son: tenéis 29,000 millas para utilizar en todos sus destinos mundiales, paradas ilimitadas y lo mejor de todo es que los cambios de fechas durante el viaje son GRATIS (adoro la palabra GRATIS jaja). Pero tenéis que tener en cuenta una cosa que es importante, hay un precio base (en nuestro caso fueron 1.200 euros) y a ese precio hay que añadir las tasas de los aeropuertos en los destinos a visitar,  así que cuantas más paradas hagáis más caro será el precio final. Una vez que programéis vuestro itinerario en la página web (con un configurador muy sencillo) llamáis a atención del cliente, yo siempre llamaba a Virgin Atlantic son muy simpáticos y con mucha paciencia ya que programar un viaje así es algo complicado… The Great Escapade trabaja con tres grandes compañías: Virgin Atlantic, Air New Zealand y Singapore Airlines… como podéis ver las tres son muy conocidas.

Por último, pero no menos importante es que la duración del viaje tiene que ser como mínimo de 10 días y como máximo de un año.
